This desk reads U.S. Census Bureau County Business Patterns (CBP) counts for NAICS 621210 — Offices of Dentists — as a density idea: how many dental establishments with paid employees a published geography reports. CBP is an annual industry-by-geography program. It is not a roster of named practices.

How we use the idea: concentration, not listings. A county or ZIP that reports more 621210 establishments is denser on the public map. That is not an NPI file, not a board_status, and not a set of coordinates this site will invent. When Census publishes ZIP-level counts with CBP, we still treat them as aggregates for a geography — not pins.

This public site does not chart density on Desk. Desk’s live panes are public names, dental services PPI, and SEC revenue.
